In a major boost to healthcare delivery and medical education, the state government on Thursday approved the creation of 3,897 jobs across nine new medical schools

Hyderabad: In a major push to boost healthcare services and medical education, the state government on Thursday approved the creation of 3,897 jobs across nine new medical colleges and affiliated hospitals.

The state government has approved 433 positions for allocation to nine government medical colleges and affiliated government polyclinics located in Rajanna Sircilla, Kamareddy, Vikarabad, Khammam, Karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Kumarambheem Asifabad, Jangaon and Nirmal.

Recruiting for these positions will take place in 33 different categories.

Health Minister T Harish Rao said on Thursday that the sanction of 3,897 jobs was a huge boost for Aarogya Telangana under Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

“Under the visionary leadership of CM KCR garu, there is a strong push for Aarogya Telangana to provide accessible healthcare for all. TS govt approves creation of 3897 posts in various categories under directors of medical education in 9 medical colleges and affiliated government polyclinics, ’” Harish Rao tweeted on Thursday.

Telangana’s Health, Medical and Family Welfare (HM&FW) department will initiate the process to fill the sanctioned post with the consent of the finance department. The Government Order (GO Ms No 181) dated November 30, 2022 by Special Principal Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao (Finance) has requested the HM&FW department to take necessary action in this matter.
