Visakhapatnam: BJP Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao said he will raise the issue of Visakhapatnam land scam in Parliament.
Speaking to reporters here on Friday, he claimed that large tracts of land in the city had been looted and challenged the ruling YSR Congress party and the opposition Telugu Desan party to debate the issue. He noted that while two Special Investigations Teams (SITs) investigated the scams, their reports were inconclusive. He said the SIT, established by the ruling party, submitted the report in October and asked for the two IT reports to be made public.
Responding to a question, he said that the relationship between the BJP and the YSRCP is only a constitutional relationship and nothing else.
He pointed out that the best option for the state is the BJP-Jana Sena consortium and that any development the state has achieved so far has been entirely centrally funded – from the Rs 26,000 crore HPCL refinery expansion project to the IIM and AIIMS, he said.
Narasimha Rao revealed that Vande Bharat trains will be introduced from Visakhapatnam to Tirupati, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
