Visakhapatnam: Indian President Droupadi Murmu witnessed an operational demonstration of the Indian Navy here on Sunday night on the occasion of Navy Day.
She also virtually inaugurated and laid the groundbreaking stone for several projects in the Department of Defense, the Department of Highway Transportation and Highways, and the Department of Tribal Affairs.
In his address, the President said that Navy Day was celebrated to commemorate the heroic actions of the Indian Navy in the 1971 war, which contributed to India’s historic victory. It is a day to remember and honor our martyrs who made a permanent place for themselves in history and continue to inspire every generation, and a day to remind us of our renewed commitment to lead India forward, through Amrit Kaal, to greatness Future, she said.
