His ‘Green India Challenge’ has spread to all states and all segments of society in the past five years.

Hyderabad: Rajya Sabha MP J Santosh Kumar celebrated his birthday with the planting of saplings at the Hyderabad Forestry College and Research Institute (FCRI) in Mulugu on Wednesday. He was joined by dozens of FCRI students as Santosh Kumar planted saplings with the students, expressing his joy in celebrating his birthday.
In his speech, he said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao decided to green the state when he formed Telangana and came up with the concept of Haritha Haaram. Santosh Kumar said he was inspired by the Chief Minister to launch the Green India Challenge, which has spread to all states and sectors of society over the past five years.
The Green India Challenge won its first win by spreading the message to the point where people start thinking about planting a sapling every time.
Also present were MLC Naveen Kumar, BC Council Members, Kishore Goud, Dean of Forestry College, Priyanka Varghese and others.
