Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is discriminating among states in releasing central funds and giving priority only to Gujarat, Telangana Planning Commission vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar said on Wednesday.

Noting that in the nine months leading up to the Gujarat assembly elections, Modi has visited the state 19 times and allocated projects, industrial and other works worth a total of 1.37 trillion rupees, Vinod Kumar said, adding that the prime minister’s response to the multiple visits Any country, and distribute such huge sums of money in such a short period of time, even in voting countries. Some of these projects are units invested by private companies, while others are government projects to improve people’s amenities.

He pointed out that Modi had visited Gujarat nearly 40 times in the past two years to lay foundation stones and launch projects there, which he said was nothing but gross discrimination against other countries and a serious violation of the spirit of federation.

“Modi is behaving as if he is the prime minister of Gujarat, not India,” he said, asking the CJP government to stop discriminating against other countries and instead treat all countries equally. He added that the people of the country are closely following the one-sided and anti-people policies of the Modi government and will respond appropriately.
