Hyderabad: The 5th Telangana Bengali Film Festival ‘Aanya-2022’ kicks off today in Hyderabad. It will open today at 6.30pm at the Prasad Preview Theater in Hyderabad. The three-day event will conclude on Sunday, December 11th.
This is a great opportunity for Bengali moving lovers away from home to attend a film festival and watch movies in Bengali. The festival is jointly organized by Hyderabad Bangalee Samiti and Telangana Department of Tourism.
The three-day event will screen eight Bengali-language films and five short films, two Telugu-language films and one Odia-language film.
‘Jayamma Panchayathi’ and ‘Virata Parvam’ are two Telugu films that will be screened during the event on December 9th and 10th at 6pm respectively.
“Avijatrik” directed by Subhrajit Mitra will be the opening film of the 5th Telangana Bengali Film Festival.
Bengali actors such as Arindam Sil, Bibriti Chatterjee, Tathagata Mukherjee, Bibriti Chatterjee, Rafiath Rashid Mithila, Gargee Roy Chowdhury and Rabanti Chatterjee will grace today’s event.
Admission is free, and Bangladeshi movie fans can get free movie tickets by scanning the QR code displayed at the venue. Hyderabad Bangalee Samiti is a Bangladeshi socio-cultural organization that has been doing charitable activities in Hyderabad for the past 79 years.
