Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) in association with India Photography Festival (IPF) presents ‘Hyderabad on Wheels’ – India’s first photography exhibition on wheels to be held in the city. With this unique initiative, TSRTC becomes the first state department of transportation to promote the art on wheels.
VC Sajjanar, Managing Director of TSRTC, said in an interview with the media that their cooperation with IPF is a unique initiative. “We are proud to say that TSRTC is the first national transport department in the country to bring art to people. Photography is a compelling medium to tell stories and influence people. We encourage people in Hyderabad to visit this one-of-a-kind first-of-its-kind Wheel photo exhibition,” he said.
On display on the bus are the works and images of photographers who have captured the city with their lenses for a month. The photo booth on wheels makes stops at different locations each day, and people can walk inside to see the exhibits. There is no entry fee.
Aquin Mathews, Founder and Director of the IPF said, “IPF is grateful to Sajjanar and TSRTC for not only embracing our ‘Hyderabad on Wheels’ idea, but leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that Hyderabad can experience world-class exhibitions on wheels.”
They plan to bring “Hyderabad on wheels” to public schools and colleges where children do not have much exposure to other areas, he added.
