Hyderabad: Nicomac Taikisha Cleanrooms will invest Rs 1,262 crore to set up its third manufacturing plant in Hyderabad. The announcement was made on Tuesday in the presence of IT and Industry Minister KT Rama Rao.
Taikisha, a 110-year-old Japanese engineering company, has acquired Nicomac Cleanrooms.
Taikisha is a pioneer in building clean rooms and heating, ventilation and air conditioning for electronic devices, lithium-ion battery manufacturing, the food industry and hydroponic farming. It manufactures and constructs clean room facilities for pharmaceuticals and vaccines in the sterile industry.
The company’s cleanrooms are installed in major pharmaceutical industries in India and abroad. The company currently operates two manufacturing units at IDA Bollaram, Hyderabad.
It proposed to build a third manufacturing plant to expand its clean room production and start producing HVAC systems by transferring technology from Japan.
For this, the company plans to invest Rs 126.22 crore. The capacity of the new manufacturing facility will meet the needs of the Indian, Japanese and Asian markets.
Nicomac Taikisha will also explore the possibility of creating a main manufacturing base in Telangana for the entire range of products to meet the needs of the Indian and export markets.
