EESL signs agreement with Energy Conservation Mission

The aim of their cooperation is to carry out awareness training on “energy saving” in 30 schools in Telangana state.

Hyderabad: Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Energy Efficiency Mission of the Institute of Engineers India to promote the importance of energy efficiency.

EESL and the Energy Conservation Mission have partnered to conduct awareness training on “Energy Conservation” in 30 schools in Telangana. They will also collaborate to develop and deliver skills development and training activities to upskill unemployed youth.

Apart from this, they will also facilitate capacity building sessions on energy efficiency practices in educational institutions, MSMEs, NGOs, self-help groups etc. in energy-related businesses, in addition to energy efficiency technologies and programmes.

In Telangana, EESL has installed over 1.553 million LED street lights as part of its national program for street lighting. As part of the scheme, inefficient lights have been replaced with energy-efficient LED lights, which provide better visibility and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
