Multilingual actor Adah Sharma recently appeared in the anthology series “Meet Cute” currently airing on SonyLiv. The anthology, directed by Nani’s sister Dipti Ganta, brings together five different stories. When we caught up with Adah recently, she talked about her lifestyle, how she interprets stories, her favorite foods, and more.
Adah loves reading innovative scripts, believes in giving 100% to whatever she does, and thanks her parents for “supporting me and letting me work on what I want to do”. “Even though I was a bright student from a South Indian Brahmin family, my parents never stopped me from pursuing my dream of acting. This has always been an advantage for me,” she said.
“I’ve been in the industry for about a decade and people greet me as soon as they see me, it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” shares Adah, who is passionate about travel and discovery.
“I love working in different languages because it allows me to connect with more people and get closer to the audience. Besides acting, I love hanging out with friends,” said Adah, who also writes for a nonprofit Organization volunteering, where she learned sign language. “There’s a touching story behind the language, but all I can say is that I’m excited to learn something that will be useful to people,” she added.
Asked about her Telugu, she smiled and said: “If you give me the dialogue, I can do my best.”
When asked about her fitness routine, she said: “I work out regularly, but I don’t think it’s a chore; I dance, I keep climbing hills while I’m shooting, I work out in a variety of ways, but I always Make sure to do something that burns calories.”
“I was born a vegetarian, but now I’m a vegetarian,” said Ada, who doesn’t believe in cheat meals. “I eat whatever I want. I don’t want to use the word ‘cheating’ because it puts a negative light on the word. One thing I never say no to is Pani Puri, it’s always been my favourite,” she added.
Speaking of Meet the Cute, Ada says, “It’s about a famous actor falling in love with an ordinary person. I’m completely in pajamas on this series. It’s always great to work with Nani; The most relevant film for men. It was also a pleasure to work with Adivi Sesh – both actors made me feel at ease.”
On the professional side, Adah is currently working on “Commando” and “Tibba” directed by Gaurav Khati, produced by Content Engineers and Dancing Shiva Films. She also has another film “Story of Kerala”, written and directed by Sudipto Sen. Additionally, the actor is working on two untitled films and a soon-to-be-announced Hollywood project.
