Hyderabad: Recruiters from various industries are heavily recruiting for the recently concluded 2023 class of Postgraduate Program in Management (PGP) at the Indian School of Business (ISB). Despite the uncertainty and expected slowdown in the global economy, 222 recruitment firms issued 1,578 offers to students.
Some 73% were able to transfer functions, and 79% moved to a new department, taking a meaningful step toward building their chosen career. The average CTC received per annum was Rs. 34.21 lakhs, a 2.5 times increase from ISB’s previous average of Rs. 13.39 lakhs.
The top industries in terms of quotations are Consulting, IT/ITES/Technology, BFSI and FMCG/Retail. Consulting, Product Management, Sales and Marketing, and General Management/Leadership courses. In addition, the media and entertainment, supply chain and logistics industries feature prominently among companies making offers from ISB. International job offers are also showing signs of post-pandemic recovery, with 36 international job offers this year, a release said.
Over 14% of overall offers came from companies offering leadership/general management roles across a variety of functions. There are 30 first-time recruiters on campus this year. Nearly 36 percent of the PGP Class of 2023 are women, the highest percentage among the region’s leading business schools. A total of 40% of job opportunities are offered to female students.
Professor Ramabhadran Thirumalai, Associate Dean for Academic Programs at ISB, said: “The placement of the PGP class of 2023 demonstrates once again that ISB students are well ahead of any crisis and adding significant value to their organizations.”
