San Francisco: Video streaming platform YouTube is reportedly testing a queue system feature for its iOS and Android apps.
According to The Verge, the feature has been available on the web for years and appears in the YouTube app under certain conditions.
Once the feature is enabled, users will find a new “Last Playing in Queue” button in the three vertical dot menu on video thumbnails.
By clicking it, the user will add the video to the bottom of their queue, or create a new queue if they haven’t watched the video.
Reportedly, once the video a user is watching ends, the app will start playing the next video in the queue and keep playing until it finishes.
Also, if the user closes the player by quitting the app or clicking the “x” button, the queue will be deleted.
Users can manually enable the feature by tapping their profile picture in the upper right corner, going to Settings, then Try the new feature, then scrolling to Queue and tapping the “Try it” button.
The test will continue until January 28, the report added.
