Mancherial: In a bizarre turn of events, an alcoholic pays the price by landing at someone’s home after drinking too much.
He was allegedly beaten to death in the Kondapur village of Kasipet mandal on Sunday after entering the wrong house under the influence of alcohol.
Devapur Deputy Inspector K Vijayender said the deceased Murali (35 years old) was a private employee in Devapur village, Kasipet mandal. The defendant is Bhumaiah from Kondapur.
On Saturday night, Mulally entered his home in a drunken state and indiscriminately beat Mulally with a large stick, causing him to be fatally injured.
He was transferred to a hospital in Mancherial but died while receiving treatment on Sunday. A case was opened and an investigation was opened against Bhumaiah.
It is reported that Mulally, who was in a drunk state, strayed into Boumeyer’s home and angered the latter. He had fallen asleep at the bus stop earlier after drinking at a shop in Kondapur. He woke up and strayed into Bhumaiah’s house, only to be attacked by him. He raised the alarm when Bhumaiah beat him up. Locals rescued him and took him to hospital.
The employee was returning to Devapur after attending his father’s death anniversary at Endapalli, Jagtial district, at the time of the incident.
