For a first in Telangana, the state government has allowed government teaching hospitals to offer a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Sciences program with an enrollment of 860 students from this academic year.
Hyderabad: For the first project in Telangana, the state government on Tuesday has allowed government teaching hospitals to start running the Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Sciences program with a capacity of 860 seats from the 2022-23 academic year.
The state government has issued a Certificate of Necessity/No Objection for the first year B.Sc Allied Health Technology courses at nine government medical colleges. KNR University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Warangal will take necessary steps to formulate framework work and fill 860 B.Sc Allied Health course.
The 860 seats by hospital include Gandhi Hospital (150); Osmaniya General Hospital (210); Kakatiya Medical College (130); RIMS, Adilabad (60); Government Medical College, Nizamabad (110); Government Medical College, Siddipet (50); Government Medical College, Nalgonda (40); Government Medical College, Suryapet (40) and Government Medical College, Mahabubnagar (70).
Courses offered include Anesthesia Technology, Operating Room Technology, Respiratory Therapy Technology, Kidney Dialysis Technology, Neuroscience Technology, Intensive Care Technology, Radiology Technology, Audiology and Speech Therapy, Case Studies, Optometry Technology, Intensive Care, Cardiology and Cardiovascular technology.
