The city-based Marri Laxman Reddy Institute of Technology has issued 104 utility patents in 2022, a unique achievement, according to a release.

Hyderabad: City-based Marri Laxman Reddy Institute of Technology (MLRIT) has achieved a unique achievement by issuing 104 utility model patents in 2022, a release Wednesday said.
MLRIT’s senior management said the 104 utility patents were the highest number in the whole of Telangana. “This is possible because MLRIT supports faculty in conducting qualitative research and developing innovative concepts,” officials said.
In 2020, MLRIT established the Intellectual Property Facilitation Center (IPFC). IPFC guides teachers and students through the proper filing of various forms of intellectual property such as utility model patents, industrial designs, copyrights, etc.
MLRIT Secretary Marri Raja Shekar Reddy said, “Apart from our faculty and students, we also provide IP services to all academic institutions, MSMEs, start-ups, entrepreneurs, etc. We specialize in finding solutions to real-time problems with the motto of helping The general public improvises the nature of their work.”
Dr Vivek Anand, Head of IPFC, Dr K Srinivas Rao, Principal of MLRIT also congratulated the staff and students.
