New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Thursday that the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund (PMNRF) is offering an ex-gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the seven victims who fell into a drain in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh during the administration of former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s roadshow.
“I am distressed by the unfortunate incident that happened at a public meeting in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. Condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured get well soon. PMNRF will provide ex gratia of Rs. 2 lakh to next of kin of each deceased , the injured will get Rs 50,000,” Modi tweeted on Thursday.
