Hyderabad: On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, renowned bakery Country Oven will open three to four outlets in Hyderabad.
A passion project of Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani and his wife Ramadevi, Country Oven is the first bakery in Hyderabad to come up with the concept of custom cakes.
“Now that we are celebrating our 30th anniversary, we plan to expand the brand by opening 3 to 4 outlets in the city, increasing our range of gourmet and confectionary items,” shared Niharika Gourineni, Director and Country Oven. Dr. Sudhakar Rao and Ramadevi.
Niharika revealed that when they first started their bakery, there were a lot of things they couldn’t bring in because the city wasn’t ready for them 30 years ago.
“The food scene in Hyderabad has changed a lot now. People are more open to experimentation, which was not the case before. Of course, the competition is fierce, but I believe Country Oven is up to the challenge,” she says.
Country Oven also has a number of firsts. It pioneered an online ordering service for cakes and sweets in 1998.
Back then, bakeries would partner with the best cake shops in each city and offer their products through their websites. For local orders, cakes are delivered from the Country Oven store.
