1 EME center organized an ‘Agnipath Outreach Program’ on Tuesday to raise awareness of the new credential

Hyderabad: The Indian Army has recently changed the recruitment process for the Agniveer program by deciding to expand recruitment to various ITI (Industrial Training Institutes) or national and state technical training institutes in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
On Tuesday, 1 EME Center organized the ‘Agnipath Outreach Programme’ with the aim of raising awareness of the eligibility criteria for applying for ITI or Professional courses at Level X or XII under the Agnipath programme.
Those who complete Class X and the ITI two-year course will receive 20 points, those who complete Class X and a two- or three-year diploma will receive 30 points, and those who complete Class XII and a year will receive 30 points, Army officials said. ITI, students who have completed class XII and ITI two-year course get 40 points, class XI and diploma holders get 50 points.
“We have decided to start the outreach program at all ITI or technical training institutes in Telangana in phases,” 1 EME Center Commander Brigadier Suresh G said during a media interaction here on Tuesday.
1 The EME Center is the main institution of the EME Corps, providing basic military training and technical training to Agniveers participating in the EME Corps. It will expand to southern Indian states including Telangana, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
SVK Nagesh, Co-Director (Training), Employment Training Department, and V Prashant, State Engagement Officer, National Skills Development Program (NSDC), also spoke.
