Amazon Business sees an uptick in Tier 2 cities including Hyderabad, with customer signups up 12% YoY
Hyderabad: With approximately 650,000 sellers and more than 16 GST-enabled products on the Amazon Business platform, it continues to serve as a one-stop destination for business customers in Hyderabad.
Since 2017, Amazon Business has seen an upward trend in second-tier cities including Hyderabad, with customer registrations increasing by 12% year-on-year. A press release stated that with the vision of empowering small and medium-sized enterprises, Amazon’s business continues to simplify the procurement process and help small and medium-sized enterprises purchase goods from sellers that best suit their procurement budgets.
Amazon Business, which now has the largest GST-enabled listings in India, saw a 72% increase in the number of customer accounts, a 27% increase in account spending, and a 38% increase in orders received.
To meet the changing needs of customers, Amazon Business continues to innovate and add features including “Bill to Ship to” which allows them to claim GST credit for pan-India shipments on their billing address.
