Pedapali: Urea production at Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) has been stopped due to a leak in the ammonia pipeline.
A leak was discovered in a pipeline supplying ammonia from an ammonia plant to a urea plant on Wednesday night. RFCL officials stopped production and began restoration work.
Officials said the leak occurred within a short period of time, although the RFCL began production four days earlier after completing its annual repair work.
RFCL officials are also concerned about the leak as Prime Minister Narendra Modi plans to dedicate the plant to the country on November 12.
Repair work is going well.
