Amaravati: A student at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh poured boiling oil on the girl’s hands and legs after her boyfriend locked her in a room in his home in Eluru district After being seriously injured.
The shocking incident came to light after the victim fled early Sunday and reported the incident to police. She has been admitted to the government hospital in Eluru.
According to police, the victim was a third-year engineering student. A resident of Eluru, the girl is trapped by Anudeep, a resident of Duggirala. He had promised to marry her. Anudeep brought the girl to his home in Duggirala five days ago.
He locked her in a room where he tortured her. He had threatened to kill her. The victim told police he planned to hang her after midnight.
However, she managed to escape and returned to her home. With the help of her parents, she filed a complaint.
The police opened a case and started hunting for Anudip who had absconded.
The defendants were allegedly addicted to marijuana and other psychotropic substances and allegedly cheated on multiple girls in the name of love.
