Amaravati: Temperatures have dropped slightly after a week of intense heatwave. The highest temperature recorded at Salur Mandal in Parvathipuram Manyam district was 41.94 degrees Celsius, according to the Andhra Pradesh State Development Planning Association (APSDPS). Some mandals in Anakapalli, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and Kakinda districts recorded temperatures around 40 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in its weather forecast that “isolated areas of north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and south coastal Andhra Pradesh may experience heat waves. Thunderstorms with lightning and wind gusts of 30-40 km/h in remote areas of , Yanam, southern coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.”
Weather forecasts for Chitor, Nellore, Tirupati, Annamaya, Sathya Sai and Rayarasema are expected as Cyclone Bipajoy moves towards the northern Arabian Sea, the weatherman reported. Other areas may experience pre-monsoon rains in the evening and in summer. at night.
