Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government issued an order on Wednesday calling on state health departments to mobilize. Transfers are available to employees who have worked at the same location for two years, and employees who want to move locations after five years at the same location.
Krishna Babu, special chief secretary at the Ministry of Health, said the diversion would not exceed 30%. The Department of Public Health and the Director of Medical Education will act accordingly.
Guidance on transfers will be issued separately for staff working at hospitals run by Vaidya Vidhana Parishad, officials said. These orders were recently issued for female staff working as Auxiliary Nurses and Midwives (ANMs) and Multipurpose Health Assistants (MPHAs) through mutual transfers. The transfer ban will come back into force on June 24.
