Hyderabad: Like farmers and other sectors, students in Andhra Pradesh are now welcoming Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), claiming the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is a priority.

But in Andhra Pradesh, the state’s capital, it’s not clear where the BJP-led coalition government has failed to fulfill the assurances made to Andhra Pradesh under the AP restructuring law, said Rayapati Jagadish, chairman of the Joint Action for AP Youth and Students Council.
He was speaking at a news conference in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, on Saturday. After meeting in Guntur, JAC held a meeting in Ongole. He said that to explain the need for the Chief Minister to lead Andhra Pradesh, 10 million pamphlets would be printed and distributed to households.
“Andhra Pradesh needs a leader like Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. All welfare and development programs implemented in Telangana must be replicated in Andhra Pradesh,” Jagadish stressed.
Apart from the agricultural sector, the power, industrial and information technology sectors are also developing rapidly in Telangana. Several irrigation projects were completed in eight years, in addition to Dalit Bandhu, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima and a 24-hour free electricity scheme for farming communities.
Instead, Andhra Pradesh is plagued by several problems and is reeling from the crisis, he said. He informed that the leaders of Andhra Pradesh were more concerned with personal development and failed to obtain special status for the state.
“It is a historical inevitability to welcome BRS and K Chandrashekhar Rao in Andhra Pradesh. He strongly opposes the anti-people and undemocratic policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government,” Jagadish said.
Impressed with the policies of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), many leaders of Karnataka have crossed party lines and are joining the party. Nearly 200 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders joined the BRS in the village of Chillargi in Bidar district on Saturday in the presence of Narayankhed MLA Bhupal Reddy.
