Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad (IMD-H) on Monday forecast normal maximum temperatures for most parts of northern, western and southern Telangana during the summer months of April, May and June. However, the department has warned that most parts of East Telangana are likely to experience higher than normal maximum temperatures during the summer.
April is likely to see above-normal maximum temperatures across most parts of Telangana, including almost all parts of Hyderabad. The IMD also warned that the eastern and northeastern parts of the state could face heat waves during this period, although the chances of one in April are low.
Additionally, the weather service is forecasting above-normal rainfall in some parts of the state this coming summer, while other areas may experience below-normal rainfall. However, the city of Hyderabad is likely to experience normal to high rainfall from April to June, which brings some relief to residents.
