Mumbai: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered former Narcotics Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede for allegedly demanding Rs 250 crore as a bribe for not framing Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in a cruise drug case, it said. The deal was done for Rs 180 crore, adding that Wankhade’s assets are disproportionate to his known sources of income.
According to a copy of the CBI FIR, the head of the NCB team led by Sameer Wankhede allowed the actual possession of the drug and the supplier to leave.
The FIR copy stated that Arbaaz Merchant had admitted to the NCB that he owned Charas, but he was allowed to leave.
Siddarth Shah, who allegedly offered charas to Arbaaz Merchant, was also allowed to walk freely, the CBI FIR said, adding that incriminating chats between the two were ignored.
The federal agency said the defendant was brought in a private vehicle. This private car belonged to KP Gosavi (independent witness). This was done to show the defendant that Gosaway was an employee of the NCB, even though he was not.
The CBI claimed that Gosavi was allowed to approach the accused in violation of the regulations. An attempt was made to extort Rs 250 crore but the transaction was closed for Rs 180 crore. Of which Rs. 5 million was prepaid.
Other corruption charges against Sameer Wamkhade and other NCB officials are also pending.
The CBI said Wankhade’s assets were disproportionate to his known sources of income. The FIR copy said he was unable to justify expenses incurred during his foreign visit.
The CBI said Wankhade had been selling and buying expensive watches with private entities.

Sameer Wankhede further claimed that CBI officers took his wife Kranti Redkar’s phone.
The CBI conducted searches at 29 locations across the country on Friday after he and three others were suspected of corruption in connection with the Aryan Khan cruise ship drug case. drug case.
