According to party sources, the BJP plans to campaign statewide on the issue and involve job seekers who apply for various competitive exams run by TSPSC. Sources said Sanjay was trying to organize a movement similar to the “March for a Million”, which was organized during the independence movement of unemployed youth in the state capital. On Wednesday, Sanjay convened a meeting of senior party leaders at the party’s state headquarters to discuss strategies for staging protests across the state. He reportedly told party leaders that they should use the TSPSC issue to their advantage and create the impression that the chief minister and his family were behind the issue. He also asked them to involve unemployed youth in agitation and to try to bring them into the party.
The BJP is also planning to raise the TSPSC question during polls to gain support from unemployed youth.
Last month, Sanjay urged young people to ditch their studies and jobs to work for the party’s victory in the upcoming parliamentary elections. As young people ignore the call, the BJP state president is now trying to use the TSPSC issue to get them on board.
