Hyderabad: While accepting mandate from the people, BJP claims Munugode poll results make the party a force in Telangana.
In a press conference, BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay and Rajya Sabha member K Laxman claimed that despite abusing the official mechanism and distributing tens of crores among voters, TRS could manage to win the polls by around 11,000 votes, they claimed This is a sign that people are not satisfied with the TRS government.
“We are not discouraged by the poll results. We are doing better than the 2018 parliamentary polls. Our candidate got over 12,000 votes in 2018 and Rajgopal Reddy got over 86,000 votes for the total 38 percent of the vote,” Sanjay said.
Laxman claims that the Munugode results prove that BJP is the only alternative to TRS in Telangana. “Munugode is not a big loss for us. We will do self-reflection and strengthen the areas where we are lacking. We will seize power in Telangana in 2023,” he said.
