Hyderabad: Sri Caitanya, NTR Trust – Jeevan Dhan (Telangana) and Medicover Hospital jointly organised a blood donation and organ donation awareness campaign on the birthday of Dr Jhansi Lakshmi Bai, co-founder of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institution.
Labour Minister CH Malla Reddy, Serilingampally MLA, Arekapudi Gandhi and Madhapur DCP, K Shilpavalli and others attended the awareness training camp. In the blood and organ donation drive, thousands of faculty and non-faculty staff participated in the blood drive, and a total of 1,850 people donated blood.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Jhansi Lakshmi Bai said: “We are aware of the need for blood and organs in the state. There are countless lives that depend on these. I am confident that our camp will help provide those in dire need Serve.”
“Our heartfelt thanks go to teaching, non-teaching and all those involved in the service program,” said Sri Chaitanya Academic Director Seema.
