Lisbon: Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said during a visit to Portugal on Saturday that it was necessary to “choose a third way” to build peace for the war in Ukraine.
“I don’t want to please anyone. I want to find a way to bring the two countries (Russia and Ukraine) to the negotiating table,” Lula said.
Lula arrived in Lisbon on Friday, his first visit to Europe since being re-elected president, and the itinerary included the Portugal-Brazil summit, which ended with the signing of 13 bilateral cooperation agreements covering areas such as education, justice, health, the economy and culture, Xinhua News Agency reported.
