Gurnam Singh Chaduni says farmers from all over the country are impressed with the programs and projects implemented by CM KCR
New Delhi: Bharat Rashtra Kisan Samithi president Gurnam Singh Chaduni said farmers from across the country were impressed with the programs and projects implemented by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in Telangana for farmers and expressed interest in joining the BRS.
In a press conference on Friday, Gurnam Singh Chaduni and BRS secretary-general Ravi Kohad said Bharat Rashtra Kisan Samithi was very effective in conveying the message of BRS chairman Chandrashekhar Rao “Aab Ki Baar Kisan Sarkar” to farmers.
“We have had a good response from the farmers. They are very surprised by the programs implemented by the Telangana government for the welfare of farmers. They want these programs to be implemented in their state,” he said.
Chaduni said Kisan Samithi leaders informed about schemes such as Rythu Bandhu in their interactions with farmers, under which the Telangana government provides farmers with Rs 10,000 per acre per year and Rs 500,000 to family members in the event of a farmer’s death.
He said the Telangana government is providing farmers with free electricity 24X7 which helps them increase their productivity.
He informed that due to welfare measures taken by the state government, not a single farmer in Telangana committed suicide due to financial difficulties in the past eight years. In other parts of the country, farmers commit suicide every half hour, he said.
“When a country can develop in eight years, why can’t this country. There is a need to have a government at the center that supports farmers,” he said.
Chaduni said Bharat Rashtra Kisan Samithi will not rest unless the conditions of farmers in the country improve.
