Hyderabad: Less than 24 hours after the inauguration of Bharat Rashtra Samithi’s (BRS) NSW office in Guntur, unidentified persons tore down the flexible sheet and removed the party flag outside it mid night on Sunday and Monday. A complaint has been lodged with the police, who have launched an investigation.
Andhra Pradesh President Thota Chandrasekhar inaugurated the BRS state office in a five-storey building near AS Function Hall on Mangalagiri Road in Guntur at around 11.35am on Sunday. On this occasion, Chandrasekhar was outspoken and lashed out at all opposition parties. Members of the party suspected that members of rival parties may have resorted to such attacks as they could not digest Chandrasekhar’s remarks and the response the party had received in Andhra Pradesh.
The BRS AP office is scheduled to begin operations on Monday from a five-storey building next to the Autonagar area. The building’s ground floor contains a conference hall for meetings with party activists, followed by administrative offices on the second and third floors. The fifth floor houses the offices of the President of Andhra Pradesh, including guest rooms, conference halls and private offices. It also provides about 16 rooms for party leaders.
BRS leaders plan to increase party strength in Andhra Pradesh ahead of upcoming parliamentary and parliamentary elections next year. Membership campaigns will also be launched soon.
