Hyderabad: BRS Works Chairman and Industry Minister KT Rama Rao has slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to resolve long-pending allocations of Bayaram Iron Works, Tribal University and Kazipet The bus factory’s request, said the Prime Minister’s criticism was odd for the Telangana government to fill 220,000 government job vacancies.
On Saturday, the prime minister visited Warangal to lay the groundwork for road works and railway manufacturing plants in Kazipet. He also addressed a public meeting at the venue and made critical remarks against the Telangana government, especially on unemployment.
Minutes after the Prime Minister finished his speech, the BRS Works chairman lashed out at him, pointing to the failures of the BJP-led trade union government in different areas, especially discrimination in Telangana.
The bus factory in Kazipet is a long-pending need in Telangana and was even secured under the AP Restructuring Act. However, the Prime Minister approved an investment of Rs 20,000 crore for the construction of a locomotive factory in Gujarat. Instead, Telangana was allocated a railway wagon maintenance unit with a negligible investment of Rs 5.2 billion, he said.
“This is nothing but an insult to the people of Telangana,” Rama Rao said in a statement. Likewise, Telangana has been calling for steel mills to be built in Bayaram and tribal universities, he said, but The prime minister has not said anything about the demands.
Citing the BJP government’s failure to fill vacancies, the BRS jobs chief slammed the center’s government sector for having 1.6 million vacancies. However, the Prime Minister commented on the Telangana government, which has filled 220,000 vacancies in the state.
“It would be great if the Prime Minister listed the initiatives taken for the welfare of the youth in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is considered the most incompetent leader and has caused the highest unemployment rate,” Rama Ra O said.
Laughing at Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan’s delay in approving the bill submitted by the state government, he said the prime minister should advise the governor who delayed ratification of the bill to fill vacancies in universities.
At that time, it was strange that the Prime Minister spoke about farmers welfare when Telangana set the benchmark for other states to ensure the welfare and development of farming communities.
He said the BJP government had introduced three farm laws despite strong opposition and caused the death of 700 farmers protesting the farm laws in the nation’s capital. He added that the Prime Minister’s talk of farmers’ welfare was like the devil preaching the Bible.
Responding to the Prime Minister’s remarks on family rule of the BRS government, he said that the whole of Telangana is one family and it is all members of the family of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. “The BRS government is committed to the welfare of all classes and yes, our party is the Telangana Family Party,” said Rama Rao.
He added that besides failing to address long-pending demands, it had become a habit of the prime minister to make harsh comments on the Telangana government and hand the country a hand.
