BSF shot down a drone and arrested a smuggler along with 3.2kg of mixed heroin on Sunday

Punjabi: The Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a drone near the India-Pakistan international border in Punjab state on Sunday and arrested a smuggler with 3.2kg of mixed heroin, a senior official said.
BSF Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sanjay Gaur said in an interview with ANI, “On May 28, BSF forces shot down a drone. One person was also arrested and 3.2kg of mixed heroin was seized from him”.
“Initial interrogation of the accused has been completed. Further interrogation of the accused will take place later today,” DIG BSF added.
BSF shot down another drone near the India-Pakistan International Border (IB) in Amritsar, Punjab, and arrested a smuggler and drug consignment on Saturday night, the force said today.
BSF personnel deployed near Dhanoe village in Amritsar’s Khurd district shot down and intercepted the drone after hearing the drone’s buzzing at about 9.35pm yesterday.
