The CBI has served a notice under Section 160 of the Criminal Procedure Code to MLC K Kavitha seeking to meet her to clarify issues related to the controversy over Delhi’s liquor policy.

Hyderabad: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday issued a notice under Section 160 of the Criminal Procedure Code to MLC K Kavitha requesting a meeting with her to clarify issues related to the controversy over Delhi’s liquor policy.
Kavitha released a statement on Friday saying she was notified.
“I have received a CBI notification asking me for clarification under Section 160 of Cr. meet,” she said.
According to sources, CBI officials called her personal assistant and said they had to speak to her. She called the officer, who said some details needed to be gathered. Kavitha then asked them to proceed formally and subsequently issued a notification under Section 160 of the CrPC under which the investigating officer can require the presence of a person to obtain information about facts and circumstances that the person may have knowledge of.
They asked her to advise the place at her convenience and Kavitha chose to meet them at her residence on December 6.
