Hyderabad: A series of trauma care centers along the 158-kilometre Outer Ring Road (ORR) play a vital role in providing emergency assistance to accident victims on the controlled road.
In 2022, a total of 1,098 cases will be treated by the 16 trauma care centers set up by the Telangana government in the ORR extension. Of the 1,098 cases, TSPA Trauma Care Center handled 157, followed by Dundigal Trauma Care Center with 143 and Pedda Amberpet Trauma Care Center with 127. Only three cases have been reported and managed by Raviryal Trauma Care Centre.
Case data for 2022 visits at these centers shows that August reported the highest number of cases, 125. May saw 120 case visits, followed by April and June with 101 cases each.
After receiving information about the accident, an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance is dispatched to assist the victim, providing emergency care at the scene and transferring to a trauma care center as needed. Depending on the condition of the accident victims, they will be transferred to a hospital of their choice.
