Hyderabad: The Common Law Admissions Test 2023 (CLAT 2023) is scheduled for December 18.
CLAT is the national entrance test for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 22 national law universities in India. Some affiliated universities and organizations also use the CLAT test for admissions and recruitment, respectively.
Admission to all 5-year combined BA, LL.B. (Honours) and LL.M. Courses starting in the 2023-2024 academic year at the 22 participating NLUs will pass through CLAT 2023, which will be held this December.
According to a press release on Tuesday by NLU Alliance President Professor Poonam Saxena (PhD), the entrance exam will be administered only once per academic year. No additional, second or any other CLAT exam will be taken for enrollment in programs beginning in the 2023-2024 academic year.
Candidates seeking admission in the 2023-2024 academic year must register for CLAT 2023 by November 13, while candidates who fail CLAT 2022 in June 2022 to ensure admission at their preferred institution are eligible to retake CLAT 2023 upon completion New registration. Candidates taking exam XII in May 2023 are also eligible to apply for CLAT 2023.
CLAT 2024 will be held in December 2023 for a 5-year combined BA, LL.B (Hons) and LL.M. 22 participating NLU courses starting in the 2024-2025 school year.
