Hyderabad: The 2023 Common Law Admissions Test (CLAT 2023) is scheduled for 18 December.
CLAT is the national entrance test for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law courses offered by 22 national law schools in India. Some affiliated universities and organizations also use the CLAT exam for admissions and recruitment, respectively.
All entry 5-year Integrated Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws. (Hons) and LLM. Classes beginning in the 2023-2024 academic year at the 22 participating NLUs will pass CLAT 2023, which will be held this December.
A press release issued on Tuesday by Prof Poonam Saxena, president of the NLU Union, Prof Poonam Saxena said that the entrance exam will only be conducted once per academic year. There will be no additional, second, or any other CLAT exams for admission to programs beginning in the 2023-2024 academic year.
Candidates seeking admission in the 2023-2024 academic year must register for CLAT 2023 by November 13, while candidates who failed to gain admission to their preferred institution through CLAT 2022 to be held in June 2022 are eligible to re-emerge upon completion of CLAT 2023 new registration. Candidates sitting for the May 2023 XII exam are also eligible to apply for CLAT 2023.
CLAT 2024 will be held in December 2023 for admission to the 5-year Integrated Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Master of Laws. Courses beginning in the 2024-2025 academic year at the 22 participating NLUs.
