Doddi Komuraiah’s fighting spirit inspired many and lives on in second phase of Telangana movement, says Chief Minister

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said the sacrifice of Doddi Komuraiah, a martyr during Telangana’s armed struggle who sowed the seed of Telangana’s desire for self-government, will always be remembered.
On Monday, the Chief Minister paid tribute to Doddi Komuraiah on his birthday.
Recalling Komuraiah’s sacrifice during the armed struggle in Telangana, the Chief Minister said his fighting spirit inspired many and lived on in the second phase of the Telangana movement.
He said the state government honors the sacrifice of the martyrs who fought for an independent nation and worked hard to realize their aspirations, noting that the state government also preserves traditional occupations in B.C. by providing all assistance to ensure their welfare and development.
Effective implementation of these programs has strengthened the rural economy of the state, he said, adding that the sheep allocation program implemented for the development of Golla Kurumas has also contributed to their economic self-reliance besides being a model for the country. He said BC is the community that has benefited the most from the different programs the state government has put in place.
Chandrashekhar Rao said a series of initiatives, including the construction of the Atma Gaurava building, Aasara Pension, Rythu Bandhu, etc., have boosted BC’s self-esteem.
The state government is commemorating the sacrifices of Telangana martyrs like Komuraiah, and the Chief Minister said the Martyrs’ Memorial, which is in the final stages of construction, will be launched soon.
He added that the state government is formally organizing Doddi Komuraiah’s birthday and death commemorations to honor him in honor of his sacrifice.
