Congress has asked Prime Minister Modi to apologise to the people of Telangana for his comments on state formation before entering India’s youngest state.
Hyderabad: The state assembly has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to apologise to the people of Telangana for his comments on state formation before stepping foot in India’s youngest state.
The Prime Minister should specifically apologise to the Telangana Martyrs for his comments. The AP restructuring bill was passed after BJP leaders backed it in the Lok Sabha, former MP Ponam Prabhakar warned in an open letter to the prime minister on Thursday.
He said that since 2014, the BJP government has discriminated against Telangana in fulfilling guarantees, including setting up a tribal university, railway passenger car factory, Bayyaram steel plant, sanctioning a medical school or other projects.
The Congress government should be credited for reviving the Ramakendt Fertilizer Plant, but unfortunately the BJP is trying to get credit. He demanded that the Prime Minister should disclose all these facts in front of the people.
