Indulging in violence is bad for democracy, says BJP activist Sambasiva Rao’s actions
Hyderabad: CPI state secretary Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao has strongly condemned the alleged attack by BJP militants against his party leader in the Munugode constituency on Wednesday. In a statement here, Sambasiva Rao said that militants belonging to the BJP attacked the former Munugode MLA party secretary during the unveiling ceremony of the party flag at Tungapadu village, Nampalli mandal, Munugode constituency, on the occasion of the 98th founding day of the Communist Party of India. Criticizing the actions of BJP activist Sambasiva Rao said that indulging in violence is not good for democracy. “Political parties should be obsessed with politics during the polls. Attacking members of opposition parties is against the spirit of democracy,” he said. Senior Communist Party leaders have warned that if either side tries to become involved in violence then they will be kicked out of the Nalgonda district, which is a stronghold of the communists. He urged police to take action against those involved in the violence.
