New Delhi: Indian star cricketer Rishabh Pant’s BMW collided with a roadblock on the Delhi-Dehradun highway on Friday, causing multiple injuries.
Sources close to the cricketer confirmed the 25-year-old was on his way to his home in Roorkee and was taken to a local hospital.
Pant suffered head, back and foot injuries but is in a stable condition.
“He himself was driving the car when it hit the border divider in Delhi Nelson. He was taken to Saksham Hospital immediately but will be transferred to Max Hospital for further treatment,” the source said.
Pant was left out of the upcoming White Ball series against Sri Lanka as he was supposed to join the NCA for strength and conditioning ahead of the Border Gavaskar Trophy in February.
He was instrumental in India’s two-Test series against Bangladesh.
