Hyderabad: There’s a fine line between love and hate, as Prime Video’s upcoming Spanish romance proves! “Culpa Mia,” starring Nicole Wallace and Gabriel Guevara, is based on the first book in Mercedes Rohn’s “Culpables” trilogy.
The author shot to fame after publishing on the popular reader platform Wattpad. ‘Culpa Mia’ tells the story of a teenage girl named Noah who has to leave her small town, boyfriend and friends and move into the mansion of her mother’s new rich husband, William Lester.
There she meets her new step-brother Nick, and their clash of strong personalities is evident from the start. The “Culpa Mia” story generated a huge response from readers on the platform and was picked up by the streaming giant.
Author Mercedes Ron recently opened up about her novel being adapted for the silver screen. “I’m a media studies graduate, so I’ve always wanted my book to make it to the theater or screen in any way, so seeing ‘Culpa Mia’ on Prime Video was incredible, a dream come true. I think all writers dream We are looking forward to making our novel into a movie, and I am living that dream! Visiting the set was also an incredible experience, learning about all the hard work and work behind the shoot,” she said.
Original Spanish film “Culpa Mía” produced by Pokeepsie Films, directed and written by Domingo Gonzalez. The film will premiere on Prime Video on June 8.
