Hyderabad: To maintain surveillance and deter sex offenders, Cyberabad Police conducts extensive patrolling and surveillance throughout the council.
As part of this, the police team checked all 143 sex offenders involved in various sex crimes and women-related crimes in the last five years under the Cyberabad police restrictions. The exercise was conducted in all five districts – Madharpur, Rajendra Nagar, Paranagar, Machar and Shamshabad.
The list of offenders being scanned includes those convicted of crimes against women and children, heinous crimes such as rape and murder, and those involved in sexual offenses against minors under the age of 12.
During the eviction, the current whereabouts of all offenders, their activities in the residential area and nearby areas, whether the offenders were involved in any other criminal activities in any other areas, and the latest residential details of the offenders were recorded, officials said.
To protect the safety and security of the public, it is necessary to keep a close eye on the activities of sex offenders. To prevent repeat offenders, the activities of offenders are monitored through an extensive ground-based intelligence network and assault policing, officials said.
