Hyderabad: A Deputy Inspector working at the Banjara Hills Traffic Police Station allegedly took his own life on the tracks in Moula Ali on Thursday.
According to the police, the 2020 batch of trainee Deputy Inspectors B Ramana was from the AP Srikakulam district and was living in the city at the time. Locals found a body on the tracks near Mulla Ali train station on Thursday morning and alerted railway police.
A team of railway police rushed to the scene, and after preliminary investigation, the body was moved to the mortuary of Gandhi Hospital for autopsy.
A case has been registered and efforts are underway to identify the reasons behind the suicide.
Hyderabad police are also conducting an internal investigation into the incident.
