Hyderabad: Zee5 is ready to launch a new Telugu web series called ‘ATM’. A teaser trailer released last week has effectively introduced the world to this promising Dil Raju creation. On Tuesday, host Shirish and producers Harshith Reddy and Hanshitha teamed up with Zee5 to unveil a fascinating trailer for the show. With a story written by Harish Shankar, who also produced the show, ATM feels like a full-blown commercial.
In the trailer, Jagan, played by VJ Sunny, said that there are two roads to prosperity – the first is the right way and the second is the wrong way. He and his three partners in crime believe in stealing money from other people and getting rich quick. Then we see footage of the police getting anxious over the Rs 2.5 crore robbery. Then there is a politician who has to have Rs 250 crore ready early so that he can get a ticket from a political party.
What started as a heist turns into a survival game, the trailer says. Subbaraju’s character is called a migratory bird metaphor to show that the protagonist and his gang are on the run. The trailer ends with an emotional note from VJ Sunny’s character, saying that if his life was threatened, he would stop at nothing.
Director C Chandra Mohan really delivered the goods by implementing the showrunner’s vision. The trailer is one of the best web series of late. The series will air on Zee5 on January 20.
