Barabanki: In a shocking incident, it has been 10 days since a 65-year-old woman was found living in her house with the body of her 17-year-old grandson in the Mauripurwa district of the Balabanji district of Uttar Pradesh. up.
The incident came to light when the woman’s neighbors complained of a bad smell coming from her home.
Upon reaching the house, authorities found Mithilesh sitting next to the partially decomposed body of her grandson Priyanshu Singh, circle official Binu Singh said.
The body has been sent for an autopsy, while Misilesh has been directed to undergo a mental health evaluation, he said.
Priyanshu’s cause of death will only be known after an autopsy, she added.
Police said the woman’s neighbors said they had been smelling the stench from Mithilesh’s home for the past three or four days and complained to police after finding it unbearable.
According to locals, Priyanshu has been living with his grandmother for the past few years. Mitilesh’s late husband was a government servant. His pension can meet her basic expenses. She has two daughters. Police said the eldest daughter and her husband died of illness six years ago, while the younger daughter lived in Lakhimpur Kheri and had been informed of the incident.
