New Delhi: After bashing OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Elon Musk is now working on “TruthGPT,” a ChatGPT alternative that would serve as “maximum truth-seeking AI.”
In an interview with Fox News, Musk said that an alternative method of artificial intelligence creation is needed to “avoid the destruction of humanity.”
“I’m going to start something I call ‘TruthGPT,’ or a maximally truth-seeking artificial intelligence that tries to understand the nature of the universe,” Musk said.
“And I think it’s probably the best path to safety, because AI that cares about understanding the universe is less likely to wipe out humans, because we’re an interesting part of the universe,” the Twitter CEO added.
In February, Musk first tweeted that what we need is “TruthGPT”.
The billionaire has created a new company called X.AI that will promote artificial intelligence (AI) in the ChatGPT era.
According to a filing, the company was incorporated in Nevada, Texas, with Musk as the sole listed director and Jared Birchal, director of the Musk family office, as secretary.
Musk’s goal is to create an artificial intelligence company to rival Microsoft-backed OpenAI.
ChatGPT and GPT-4 have taken the world by storm in recent months.
In March of this year, several top entrepreneurs and AI researchers, including Musk and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, wrote an open letter demanding that all AI labs immediately suspend the training of GPT. -4 More powerful artificial intelligence systems for at least six months.
