San Francisco: The showdown dubbed the battle of the century between Twitter owner Elon Musk and Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg could still be played jujitsu-style staged.
Musk had earlier tweeted that he would be “in a cage match” with Zuckerberg, in which the latter posted a screenshot of the Tesla CEO’s tweet with the caption “Send me Location”.
Last week, Elon Musk’s mother, Maye, said in a series of tweets that “the race is now cancelled,” which was a “huge sigh of relief.”
But on Sunday, Lex Friedman, host of the famous Lex Friedman podcast, posted a video of him training in jiu-jitsu with Zuckerberg.
“I’m also looking forward to training with @elonmusk. It’s inspiring to see both Elon and Mark embark on a martial arts journey,” he said, suggesting that a fight between Musk and Zuckerberg may still happen.
Friedman had earlier stated that “a jiu-jitsu match between Zack and Elon would definitely be an interesting plot twist in this simulation. I’m all for it”.
To this, Elon Musk replied: “Let’s do a full-scale MMA (Mixed Martial Arts)”.
It all started when Elon Musk responded to a tweet that Meta would announce a Twitter competitor.
“I’m sure Earth can’t wait until it’s fully under Zack’s control, there’s no choice. At least it’s going to be ‘sane’. Some worries for a while.”
To this, one user replied: “Better watch out @elonmusk, I hear he’s doing jiu jitsu now.”
“I’d be willing to do a cage match if he laughed,” the Twitter owner replied.
Elon Musk tweeted “Zuck my *tongue emoji*” earlier this month.
In March, he mocked Meta’s plans to launch a dedicated Twitter-like social media app, calling it a “copy cat.”
