BRS cadres celebrated the launch of the BRS party in Khammam on Friday.
canman: Celebrations erupted in the former Khammam district on Friday as Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao officially launched Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) as a national political party in Telangana Bhavan, Hyderabad on Friday.
BRS Khammam district chairperson Tata Madhusudhan and Kothagudem district chairperson Rega Kantha Rao described Chandrashekhar Rao’s decision to enter national politics as a historic one.
Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar said Chandrashekhar Rao, who made the impossible possible by achieving an independent Telangana, will leave his mark on national politics. He hoped that, thanks to the political acumen of the Chief Minister, the BRS would succeed in national politics.
The chief minister had launched Bharat Rashtra Samithi with the aim of expanding the welfare system in Telangana across the country, the leader said.
Soon after Chandrashekhar Rao hoisted the BRS party flag in Hyderabad, party members in Khammam and Kothagudem districts blasted firecrackers and handed out sweets at party offices, chanting slogans welcoming the Chief Minister.
